Vocabulary #9

1) Ultimate (adj) -maximum; decisive; conclusive

My ultimate goal is to be able to give back to my parents and provide them with numerous luxuries that they've deserved since day one. 

2) Interactive (adj) -acting one upon or with the other

I was fascinated by two birds interacting with one another eventhough I had no clue what they could have possibly been communicating about. 

3) Principle (n) -an accepted or professed rule of action or conduct

We rely on the law to provide us with the proper principles on how to live our lives. 

4) Guidance (n) - the act or function of guiding; leadership; direction; advice or counseling

We are all in search of guidance at stressfull and enigmatic points  in our lives yet we do not search for guidance because we fear that we will be viewed as weak and worthless individuals by society. 

5) Collaboration (n) -the act or process of collaborating

Collaborative working groups tend to have higher success rates when they are done face to face rather than through a website. 

6) Formative (adj) -pertaining to formation or development

We develop all stereotypes and prior assumptions in our formative years in which we are clueless. 

7) Summative (n) -something that is added, as one substance to another, to alter or improve the general quality or to counteract undesirable properties

A summative can be added directly to food for preservation or food coloration purposes. 

8) Racism (n) -a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others; hatred or intolerance of another race or other races

As long as we all appear different on the outside, racism will always exist. 

9) Intelligence (n) -capacity for learning, reasoning, understanding, and similar forms of mental activity; aptitude in grasping truths, relationships, facts, meanings

Intelligence CANNOT be measured through a grade. A grade does not prove how intelligent you are!
